The National ALEC Association and the Prepaid
Communications Association (NALA/PCA), formed
in 1996, is a non-profit association dedicated
to supporting local residential telephone service
providers throughout the United States.
NALA/PCA was established to:
- Represent the prepaid dialtone industry in
federal and state regulatory and legislative
arenas and promote parity between the ILECs
and NALA/PCA members;
- Establish cooperative and productive relations
between prepaid dialtone providers and other
telecommunication service providers, including
local exchange carriers;
- Inform the media, public and consumers about
the industry;
- Educate and protect the consumer by developing
and promoting industry guidelines for fair and
proper service to the consumer.
NALA/PCA specializes in legislative and regulatory
initiatives and negotiations with the large ILECs.
NALA/PCA continuously files comments and pleadings
and attends hearings that affect the growth of
the competitive prepaid communications industry. |
| |
| NALA/PCA membership consists of carriers,
vendors, and individuals who have an interest in
the promotion of the prepaid local telecommunications
industry. |
